The eventful year of 2002 marked the re-location
of West Valley Child Crisis Center to the Kids
Campus, 6805 N. 81st Avenue in Glendale, Arizona
(1/4 mile south of Glendale Avenue). The new facility
triples the capacity of the number of children
we are able to serve (up to 44 per day), and:
1. Expands residential housing from two homes
to six.
2. Introduces services for children 8 to 11 years
old.
3. Includes a Counseling, Dental and Medical Center.
4. Creates the Children's Enrichment Center, including
library and computer lab.
5. Adopts an on-campus Head Start program for
children ages 0-3 and 3-5.

West
Valley Child Crisis Center wishes to remember and
honor its dear friend, Betty Claypool Moyes.
August 25, 1920 - September 21, 2002
Betty, who was
born in Colorado and raised in Utah, married
Carl Moyes in 1941. Betty and Carl had three
children, Jerry, Ronald, and Patrice. Betty
worked alongside Carl for many years in the
transportation industry. Together, they started
a small trucking company with 2 trucks and
named it B & C Truck Leasing. Through
the years of hard work they saw many changes,
including a move to Phoenix, Arizona where
their fledgling company later became known
as Swift Transportation Co., Inc. Betty loved
her friends in Utah and Arizona, was a faithful
member of the LDS church, and volunteered
for the Florence Crittenton Thrift Shop every
Friday afternoon. She was affiliated with
Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years. Survived
by three children, eighteen grandchildren
and seventeen great-grandchildren, Betty will
be dearly remembered by her family and all
those who loved her. The values Betty instilled
in her oldest son, Jerry, helped West Valley
Child Crisis Center experience its tremendous
growth through Jerry and Vickie's leadership
of the Kids Campus Capital Development Campaign.
