How We Are Making A Difference

Sadly, due to state budget cuts we have had to discontinue many of our services, including our shelter services at the West Valley Child Crisis Center's kids campus.  Today we are focusing on helping children in need find loving foster homes and adoptive families.

Of the nearly 10,000 Arizona children placed in out-of-home care, 2,340 are pending adoption. We have recruited and trained 60+ foster/adoptive families to provide children in need with foster or adoptive homes. Our aggressive recruitment and training efforts continue as we strive to increase our number of foster/adoptive families.

Our Foster Care & Adoption Program is licensed by the State of Arizona. Services included are:

• Recruiting and prescreening families to become foster or adoptive homes
• Matching children in need with loving families
• Training, support and licensing of families
• Advanced training and licensing for children that are medically fragile
• Private adoptions
• Step-parent / kinship adoptions
• DES adoptions - through the Department of Economic Security

WVCCC assesses no application fees to foster or adoptive parents, does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, or religion. WVCCC is a member of the KIDS Consortium in Arizona.
